Abstract:The machining of large eccentric hole and groove with changeable angle on column shell by a flame cutter is difficult. It is significant to design a flame cutting machine with simple structure, low cost, high precision and high degree of automation. It is expected that a curve on an eccentric hole with diameter greater than 1.2 m can be cut. On the basis of similar equipments and technologies at home and abroad, a design plan of the flame cutting machine was presented which could be used to cut a large hole on the surface of a column shell. The cam in the vertical lifting part of the cutting machine was designed by drawing. It provides reference for cam design of flame cutting machine cutting large hole on cylinders.
