A compact hydraulic clamping chuck was introduced, positioning with buildin spring top and end-face, clamping with elastic collet.Using this chuck, the length of the workpiece machined was increased，the axial and radial positioning was more precise，and the clamping force was more stable and reliable. Then examples were used to illustrate the effect of the application of the chuck.
