Abstract:Forming grinding tangential force was obtained by experiment. Based on the theory of FEA, rectangular moving heat source model was adopted to the transient analysis of temperature field in gear form grinding, and temperature field distribution profiles and temperature gradient distribution profiles in a certain operating mode were got. The research indicates that in the process of gear form grinding, the highest temperature occurs at the end of the tooth surface and beside the tooth root, where grinding burn easily occurs. The highest temperature value of tooth surface was calculated theoretically and simulated, so the temperature curves under different grinding depth were obtained. Compared with the theoretical and simulative values of grinding temperature, the simulation results prove reliable.
