In order to solve the problem of large labor-intensive and low accuracy of selecting bearings by artificial in manufacturing process, the robot based on single chip microcontroller (SCM)is designed to select the bearings with standard outside diameter. The design of the overall structure of the robot was described. The robot was divided into several module according to the its motion. The principle of the robot to measure the outside diameter size of the bearings using inductance sensor was described. The circuit diagram and program flow chart of the robot were designed. The robot adaptes to the needs of the social development, and its application effect is favorable with its simple configuration and convenient control features.
