Abstract:On the basis of the principle of form grinding geometry, section grinding technology to large screw rotor was put forward based on the SK7032 screw rotor grinding machine. According to the principle of gear engagement, the space envelope movement form of the grinding wheel cutting tools in section grinding process to the screw rotor was analyzed, calculation model to section grinding tool path of the rotor was established. The interference generated in the process of segments grinding to the rotor which was processed in the helical surface machining was analyzed, specific scheme to eliminate the interference was formulated and the tool path was optimized. Further,the calculation software to the rotor block grinding aim at the functional requirement of the section grinding to large screw rotor was developed, CNC machining procedures could be gotten by parametric input; section grinding test was carried out on the SK7032 screw rotor grinder based on the procedures. The feasibility of section grinding to the large screw rotor is verified.It provides a new method for numerical control machining of the screw rotor.
