The key of “the Belt and Road” strategic vision is to strengthen road connectivity. The application of gaugechanging technology is the most effective method of strengthening connectivity in railway transportation. The structural principle of the foreign gaugechangeable locking mechanism was introduced, and the mechanism of gaugechanging technology in highspeed EMU bogie was analyzed. A locking mechanism of gaugechangeable wheel sets (applicable to 1 435/1 520 mm gauge) was designed. The intensity of the key part of locking mechanism was checked.
