Abstract:In view of the problems of miss catchting in broken belt protection that can not be avoided in the current market, the design scheme of a new type of belt conveyor broken belt arresting device is proposed. The catchers were a new type of integral belt protector, which used the hydraulic delay system as the trigger mechanism of the broken belt, the wedge type self locking mechanism as the capture mechanism and the accumulator as the emergency power source. Once a broken belt accident occurred, a broken belt capture system could be automatically started and a safe and reliable capture was carried out. If the conveyor belt only occurred normal slip reversal, the arresting device was delayed to avoid the damage of the conveyer belt by mistake. The AMESim software is used to model and simulate the hydraulic system of the arresting mechanism, and the simulation results are obtained in accordance with the actual working conditions, and the optimization direction is provided for the existing design scheme.
