Abstract:〗In the process of bone drilling,excessive thrust force will lead to fracture of drill bit and poor bone stability.Threepoint drill was introduced to increase drilling stability,ABAQUS was used to make finite element simulation about threepoint drill drilling cortical bone.The correctness of the model was verified through experiment.Central composite design (CCD) was used for conducting experiments.The quadratic regression equation for thrust force was obtained by using the response surface method.The effects of rotational speed,feed rate and drill diameter on thrust forces were studied.This study provides theoretical guidance for the use of threepoint drill in surgery,and the quadratic regression equation as a predictive model provides possibility of controlling thrust force in surgery.
