In order to solve the problem of FMS real-time data acquisition, EtherCAT real-time performance and transmission efficiency were analyzed; the master and slave stations were established for FMS devices, and the communication test between master and slave stations was carried out. The results show that EtherCAT is compatible with a variety of Ethernet protocols and has higher real-time data transmission efficiency, and the I/O signal response from multiple devices is fast. It is predicted that EtherCAT will gradually become the mainstream real-time data communication protocol in intelligent factories.
