Abstract:In order to solve the problem of unbalanced axial force and low output efficiency of the traditional axial piston motor, a double stator axial couple piston motor was proposed based on the principle of double stators. The motor output the couple torque through a special structure to achieve axial force balance. The instantaneous theoretical torque generated by a single plunger assembly of the traditional axial piston motor and the double stator axial couple piston motor was derived through the force on their respective plungers. The output torques of the traditional axial piston motor and the motor were compared and analyzed with the help of MATLAB programming. The results show that the output torque of the traditional axial piston motor is from 11.59 N·m to 11.89 N·m, while the output torque of the motor is from 23.33 N·m to 23.63 N·m;compared with the traditional axial piston motor, the output torque is nearly doubled, the torque fluctuation is reduced to half of the original, and the working efficiency of the plunger is doubled. Through the test, the mechanical efficiency and volumetric efficiency of the motor are obtained, which verifies the rationality of the principle and lays a foundation for the follow-up related research.
