Abstract:Chatter in high speed machining influences surface qualities of parts and benefit. Based on vibration theory, the main methods of handling chatter are rising stiffness of the machining system. Optimizing machine tools and cutting tools system structure are widely used. Viscoelastic material was proposed to enlarge fixture stiffness.So chatter was reduced and stiffness of the machining system was improved. At the same time, the auxiliary machining time of fixture was reduced, and productivity was increased. The method is simple and can be spread application widely.
