The process of core drill rig hoist and lower drill pipe was analyzed. The task and specific actions in order of manipulator in the hoisting and lowering process were determined.Then the hydraulics system for hoisting and lowering manipulator was designed. The research has certain value for development and application of automatic and intelligent core drill rig.
