Abstract:The self-resonating nozzle has the double advantage of cavitating jet and pulsed jet nozzle.The characteristics of jet nozzle were calculated by using FLUENT software,and the structural parameters of self-resonating nozzle suitable for the low pressure insulator water washing system were obtained.The results show that the effect of cavitating jet nozzles can be produced by the designed self-resonating nozzles.When the outlet diameter d=3 mm,the length of resonant cavity L=6.3 mm,the cone angle θ=30°,the self-resonating nozzle cavitating development speed is fast,suitable for short distance cavitating washing.While θ=60°,the effect of cavitating development is slow and the jet rang is relatively far,suitable for long distance cavitating washing.The study result provides reference for structural design of the low pressure self-resonating cavitating jet nozzles.
