Aiming at design selection of stator transition curve for vane pump, an approach based on fuzzy mathematical theory was conducted. In addition to general design requirements, manufacturing cost was presented as an important design factor. A two-stage dynamic method was proposed to determine the weights; the coefficient of weight could be adjusted by feedback. Based on fuzzy selection, a CAD/CAM design system of vane pump stator was built by computer aided technology. A case was analyzed to verify the feasibility. It provides an effective means for high quality and high efficiency design of stator.
