Aiming at the structural features and assembly accuracy requirements of the spindle device which was the critical core component of a new vertical grinder, the spindle assembly and bearing clearance measurement methods were discussed. The practice results indicate that the programs are scientific and rational, and product assembly quality and schedule requirements are ensured.
