Abstract:Based on the Blade Element Momentum Method and used the maximum of wind energy utilization coefficient as optimization objective, a 200 kW horizontal axis wind turbine blade was programmed and solved by using the MATLAB optimization toolbox. By used three and five order polynomial in virtue of polyfit function in MATLAB to fitting the chord length and installation angle respectively, the whole aerodynamic shape of the blade was gotten. Then the aerodynamic performance and load were calculated, and the aerodynamic load of each blade profile was obtained. Finally, a micro section of the blade was gotten, and optimized and designed the thickness of its skin,spar cap and web by using parametric modeling and optimization function of ANSYS, which made it to meet the lightest weight under the conditions of the strength requirements. The results show that the weight after optimization is less than the original. It reduces the cost and provides a reference for further study.
