Researching the movement principle of construction machinery outriggers and analyzing the movement process of outriggers, a kind of scheme, which was used to realize automatic extending and retracting function of outriggers, was proposed to reduce labor intensity of manual operation and to improve degree of automation and security of equipment. The specific implementation methods were provided. It has guiding significance to further research about automatic extending and retracting of outriggers.
