In order to solve the frequent icing phenomenon in high voltage wire, a new method having both anti-icing and de-icing of robot was proposed, through analyzing and summarizing all kinds of de-icing techniques at present. The mechanical part, control section and sensor system were projected and designed on the basis of the overall constructional design of robot. The main function and implementation method of every organization were determined one by one. The experimental result on making of sample robot indicates that it is reasonable in structure and design technology, and the robot runs well suitable for anti-icing and de-icing of high voltage wire.
