As the most important support member of gear grinding machine, column has great impacts on the accuracy of final machining. With the development of artificial granite composite (AGC) technology, artificial granite composite has been used more and more in machine tools manufacturing. The corresponding dynamic performance was compared between traditional cast iron pillar and artificial granite columns by finite element software, and analysis proves that the artificial granite composite in processing has a certain superiority and feasibility. It provides reference for further optimize the molding gear grinding machine column and enhance machining accuracy.
