A numerical simulation of the flow filed of axialflow vaneguided cyclone for gasliquid separation was carried out using CFD software. Hybrid grid on split volumes was used to improve the quality of the grid and the turbulence simulation was based on RSM model. The results include velocity and pressure field of the cyclone, and show that they are different from the traditional cyclone’〖KG-*2〗s. The flow field is of good symmetrical, and there exists only downward external vortex and no upward inner vortex in the straight part. The tangential velocity and axial velocity distribution is the same but radial velocity is very small. The pressure drop is mainly caused by dynamic pressure loss, and the biggest loss is located in the flow around the vanes.
