Remarkable advantage of embedded system in the field of industry control compared with desktop PC was introduced, and the important significance of WEDM CNC programming system (CAWEP) transplant research was explained. By analyzed of CAWEP own characteristics, and compared the commonalities and differences between Windows and Windows CE applications programming development, the transplant platform solution was put forward. Transplant development process was discussed, and the crucial technologies of transplant were summarized, according to practical development experiences. Experimental results prove the transplanted CAWEP running on Windows CE system is stable, efficient and reliable.
