Abstract:In order to understand wear mechanism of wear strips on earth shield machine cutterhead under geological conditions, through wear experiment simulated under sand layer and rock states, the relationships were explored between pressure, speed and friction, and then wear mechanism was learned through friction surface morphology. Experimental results show that friction force increases with increasing of pressure, and speed has little effect on it. Coefficient of friction increases with increasing of speed, but no obvious relationship with pressure, and there is a decreasing trend of it with increasing of wear time. Wear of wear strips is not obvious in sand layer abrasion, and its wear mechanism is continuous wear and slight two particles wear. Wear of wear strips is intense in rock layers, and its wear mechanism is continuous wear and fatigue wear, followed by particles wear. The experimental results are consistent with actual engineering project.
