Aimed at the electronichydraulic proportional multiway valve, the equations of impacts of temperature and pressure on the oil viscosity and the clearance between the body of valve and the valve core were deduced. Based on the equations and the structure of multiway valve, the corresponding Matlab simulation model and AMESim simulation model were built. Simulation results show that, when choosing the materials of the valve core and the body of the valve, the coefficient of linear expansion of the valve core should be bigger than that of the body of the valve. Increasing the contact length between the valve core and the body of the valve or decreasing the eccentricity and diameter of the valve core all have a significant effect on decreasing the gap leakage.
