A highspeed motor based on single supporting rotor ultrasonic levitation technology was designed. The motor has piezoelectric transducer and permanent magnet synchronous motor spindle. In order to ensure that the selfcentering on the height of the highspeed rotation spindle,the radiation end face of the piezoelectric transducer and the spindle suspension support cap were designed to be the same conical taper structure. The test results show that when the output power of ultrasonic motor at 500 W, the spindle speed of over 20 000 r/min, the levitation gap of over 100 nm, and greater than the sum of the two contact surface Ra. The spindle running stable and without contact friction noise, torque ripple and radial vibration caused by the electromagnetic coupling doesnt produce.
