The principle, main points of commission and actual application of the servo down hydraulic system designed for thick and high strength stainless steel HAPL were introduced. The system met the demand of production technics, which could provide enough pressure for strip tail, and coil car declined synchronously with coil diameter increasing on the mandrel. Consequently, important machines are safety as well as strip tail can be coiled tightly. 
