Abstract:A marine ballast water monitoring and control system was designed based on LabVIEW. Details of the overall design and hardware configuration of monitoring system were introduced, as well as the key technologies to achieving functional modules. Experimental results show that: the system is stable and reliable, able to better realize data transmission and realtime process monitoring of the ballast water system. The system uses LabVIEW virtual instrument (VI) development platform, combined with a programmable logic controller (PLC), which based on Object Linking and Embedding for Process Control (OPC) communication protocol to achieve a realtime acquisition and process control ballast of each parameter, and using DataSocket technology to achieve remote monitoring.
