The pinch roll before coiler is the important equipment in hot strip mill. Its performance directly affects the quality of coil. The principles of the pinch roller and the singlechamber and dualchamber servo hydraulic control loops were analyzed. The simulation models of the singlechamber and dualchamber servo hydraulic control loops were established. Under the same conditions of simulation analysis, by comparing the position and pressure closedloop simulation curves with the actual production curves, the conclusion is that the stability of the singlechamber control loop is better than that of the dualchamber control loop, but the rapid response of the dualchamber control loop is better than that of the singlechamber control loop.
