Abstract:For researching the normal force phenomena in static mode for Magnetorheological (MR) fluid, the test system of normal force for MR fluid was designed and established. The system was included of magnetic circuit, mechanical part and data acquisition, and etc. By utilizing test system designed by MR fluid, normal force of MR fluid was researched. The results show that, in the static mode, with the magnetic flux density increasing, the normal force will increase gradually until the maximum, and then reduce to a steady value. During the increasing stage of positive stress, the relationship between magnetic flux density and normal force can be expressed as in formula FN=4 667B248.
