Abstract:In order to develop the maximum energysaving potential of the hydraulic excavator, the recoverable energy amount of job device of hydraulic excavator was studied for an 8ton hydraulic excavator. The mechanical structure and recoverable energy system of the hydraulic excavator was built based on the working principle of job device in the hydraulic excavator. The recoverable energy amount of job device of hydraulic excavator was analyzed using to the MATLAB/SimMechanics modules on the basis of the international standard working cycle of hydraulic excavator, and the simulated results were verified via the experiment. The results shows that the recovery energy of boom, arm, slewing mechanism are 3321, 1176 and 1874 kJ respectively in the standard working cycle, which provides the theoretical foundation for the development of energy recovery system of hydraulic excavator.
