A rapid replacement device for host ropes of multirope friction hoist was described. The composition of its mechanical parts, field layout and movement principle were analyzed.Its SolidWorks model was imported into ADAMS software to simulate ropereplacement process in practical engineering. Its movement characteristics were analyzed. Through dynamics simulation, the force changing situation of hinge points was obtained. It provides important mechanical basis for the subsequent finite element analysis.
