Pneumatic shape meter is specialized tension sensor that is used for foil flatness online realtime detection and shape control.According to realtime characteristic of high and super highspeed production of the strip, studying its dynamic property is very important for the design of detectioncontrol system. The composition of the force measuring system of the pneumatic shape meter was analyzed, the mechanical dynamics model was established, and the transfer function of the force measuring system was derived. When the input was unit impulse signal and step signal, the dynamic response of the underdamping force measuring system was analyzed. The conclusion provides theory basis for the design of detectioncontrol system and for characteristic analysis of the pneumatic shape meter .
