In order to further study the compensation mechanism of semiactive heave compensation, based on the analysis of the compensation principle of semiactive heave compensation device, the analyses of mechanics and flow continuity of gasliquid storage devices and active compensation cylinder was carried out. The AMESim software was accepted for the modeling and simulation analysis. The result shows that the variation range of compensation process of large hook displacement is in a small amplitude of sine wave when the time changes. The system energy consumption curve is approximate to linear upward trend and the pressure curve of gas liquid accumulator overall tends to leveled off. The system simulation results of semiactive heave compensation device can be used as the reference for improving the design and developing technology of the system of compensation efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
