A double cylinder electrohydraulic synchronization system for the tumble gate of a large vertical ship lift chamber was introduced, a closedloop control scheme with master/slave strategy and the selftuning fuzzyPID controllers was employed to make the system work with rapidity and robustness. The combined simulation model of the hydraulic synchronization system was built based on AMESim and MATLAB, using AMESim hydraulic component library to build hydraulic system model, using AMESim planar mechanism library to establish tumble gate mechanical structure model and using MATLAB for the closedloop control strategy.The simulation result can verify the effectiveness of tumble gate hydraulic system and the closedloop control strategy.
