Research was carried out by aimed at the damper parameters of counterbalance valve which influenced on the circuit of vehicle lifting system. The working principles were analyzed for the balance circuit and counterbalance valve. And then, balance circuit model of lifting system was established by AMESim simulation software, and the dynamic characteristics of balance circuit was simulated with analysis under the conditions of variable damper diameter. Design principle of damper diameter is acquired by the simulation results, which is the basis of design and improvement of this kind of counterbalance valve.
