Abstract:For the current status of the poor cleaning effect to the road barrier by using the traditional vehicle loaded road barrier cleaning machine with SDOF brushes, the solution was proposed by using the brushes with twodimension freedom motivation driven by the novel twodimension freedom hydraulic cylinder to clean the road barrier. Two groups of grooves were reverse arranged evenly in the piston, which were corresponded to the holes in the cylinder body. When the piston rod rotated, the grooves arranged in the piston communicated periodically with the holes in the cylinder body. The hydraulic pressures in the two chambers of the hydraulic cylinder were alternated periodically, then the piston rod driven by the pressure difference was slid axially. Twodimension freedom output of the brushes can be used to clean the road barriers effectively, if the traditional vehicle loaded road barrier cleaning machine is reformed by using novel hydraulic cylinder.At the same time, the targets energy conversed and emission reduced can be achieved. This solution is low cost and easy to implement, and is suitable for a wide range of engineering applications.
