Abstract:Orthogonal experimental design and analysis method is an effective method to study the technology optimization experiment with multiple factors and levels. On the present issue of three dimensional (3D) printing standard deficiency and the different and varied technological influence parameters, which was difficult to determine the optimum process for 3D printing modeling, the orthogonal experiment was used to study the 3D printing technological process, and analyzeded the influence to the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) of modeling quality by related factors which were, in order, the layer height setting, print speed and packing density. The results show that the best quantization parameters of each factor are 0.18 mm, 40 mm/s and 30% for the surface quality. The orthogonal experiment method has a reference meaning for optimizing the 3D printing technology process and improving the printing qualities.
