Abstract:The own inherent problem of nonlinear hysteresis in magnetorheological (MR) damper limits its application in engineering and has a great effect on prediction and control precision of damping force. In particular, in the buffer system for impact load, hysteresis problem of MR damper is particularly prominent. Therefore, it is of great significance for improving the control performance of MR damper’s control system to research the elimination method and control about hysteresis nonlinearity of MR damper. The main progress in mechanism and control method of eliminating hysteresis nonlinearity of MR devices were summarized, and its mechanism and the description method of the control system were also discussed. On this basis, the research prospects for the elimination method and control law of hysteresis are given.
