In order to improve the surface quality of pure iron materials during the finishing turning,some experiments were carried out at the same cooling/lubrication conditions under different cutting parameters,and the influence mechanisms of the different cutting parameters on the surface quality of the pure iron workpiece were analyzed.The results indicate that the cutting temperature with the different cutting parameters mainly affects the surface roughness.At the same time,feed rate and cutting depth affect the maximum height of the outline of the surface.These experimental results are of great significance for selecting suitable cutting parameters to improve the surface quality of pure iron materials during the finish turning.
