A modified coupled map (CM) carfollowing model considering the multivehicles’ interaction effect is proposed based on the Konishi’s carfollowing model, which OV function contains the position information of multiple preceding vehicles and rear vehicle. The stability of our model is analyzed, and the stability conditions of traffic flow are obtained. Comparing with the previous CM models, the modified CM model can more enhance the stability of traffic flow, and the research results show that the temporal behavior obtained in our model is better than the traditional CM model when introducing the multivehicles’ interaction effect.
