The clearance between the piston and the cylinder is an important parameter for the design of the gapseal servo cylinder. The mathematical model of valvecontrolled gapseal servo cylinders is analyzed. A model was established in AMESim. The genetic algorithm was used to optimize the gap value and position control parameters. The results show that the gap value is the key factor affecting the position control of the gap sealing servo cylinder, and the optimized gap value and control parameters can improve the dynamic quality of position control well, and the leakage amount is also small.
